Stretching from the rocky cliffside to the deep blue sea of Northern Ireland, this Monday morning elopement-styled session with Kaylee and Luke captivated us from start to finish. We explored the coastline and caves, ran and danced like characters in a cinematic masterpiece, and captured intimate moments between two lovers. It was a session that will always be remembered and cherished as a special memory from my travels.

I could go on and on about how stunning the coast of Northern Ireland is, but this session wouldn’t have been complete without the lovely couple, Kaylee and Luke. When the two of them stepped out of their car to meet us, their smiles and gentle manner brought a warmth to the beach on that chilly morning. Throughout the session, we connected on a deeper level and created art alongside them.
Not long after meeting them, I noticed that Kaylee not only has enchanting blue eyes and bright summer-blonde hair, but also a gentle soul and a kindness she shares with everyone around her. Luke complemented Kaylee’s personality perfectly, with a bold sense of strength and an equally friendly nature. I feel grateful to have met such a wonderful couple and to have captured the beauty of love that they share.
An Outstanding Location
The beaches of Northern Ireland are unlike anywhere else I’ve seen before. A green backdrop of rolling Irish hills gives way to white cliffs that felt straight out of films like Dune or Pirates of the Caribbean. From the moment I set foot here, I was in awe. It felt as though I had stepped into several different locations at once. It truly is a storytelling photographer’s dream.
We began the session along the cliffside, capturing wide-angle shots and prompts for motion, while also admiring the quiet, intimate moments between the couple. From there, we moved down to the shoreline, where the prompts embraced a sense of freedom along the ocean. We ended the session inside a dark cave, framing the couple against the beach as seen from within its shadowed view.
The Experience of a Lifetime
There’s truly nothing like this location, this couple, and this photoshoot as a whole. Every detail came together in the most effortless way, making it one of those sessions I’ll never forget. Moments like these are why I love what I do.
